Réseau Chainon

30

[Information available on the organization’s website]

Retour Accueil

[Information available on the organization’s website]

IETM Porto Plenary Meeting 2018

A lot has changed since we last came to Portugal, two decades ago. Artistic geography itself has become more dynamic than ever. How do the focal points on today’s maps evolve, how do the centres shift and the peripheries transform? We invite you to Porto, a city, which has been performing remarkable cultural policies, to engage in a challenging debate on how art relates to the processes of transforming centres of creation, dissemination and decision-making.

Registration deadline: 22 March.

Total Theatre (or Total Theatre Magazine as it later became known as) was created and developed by the Mime Action Group (founded 1983) – which later changed its name to Total Theatre to match that of its magazine. The organisation later adopted the name Total Theatre Network, to establish the different purposes of organisation and magazine. Total Theatre, in all its manifestations, has for thirty years helped to change the landscape of contemporary theatre and performance. As an Arts Council Revenue Funded Organisation (RFO), Total Theatre Network provided a whole plethora of artist-led projects, offering training and professional development opportunities; conferences, symposia and seminars; in-person or phone/online information and support; and through its magazine Total Theatre, which was published quarterly in print from 1989 to 2012, a focus point for the burgeoning physical, visual and devised theatre, performance art, and circus/street art scenes. [Information available on the organization’s website]
